COVID-19 Update: July 2020

Dear Customers, Partners and Suppliers

As you are aware, COVID-19 has impacted all of us, in our homes, our work and our communities. In this continuing time of uncertainty, OE Electrics want to keep our customers and suppliers updated on our ongoing activity in dealing with this unprecedented situation and share with you how we can still support you while also prioritising the wellbeing of our employees.

Our first priority has been to ensure our employees remain safe. We therefore enabled and requested (based on the Government guidance) all employees who could do so, to work from home. We are fortunate that the majority of our workforce have been able to work remotely, and we’re using technology to continue with video/phone meetings and online team collaboration, supporting each other and our customers.

Our fantastic manufacturing teams, who are unable to work from home, have continued to work diligently and successfully to meet customer demand, throughout this period. We have put in place stringent distancing and cleaning measures to enable manufacturing to continue. If this situation changes, eg. based on government edict, we will advise you accordingly.

We did, of course, stop all non-essential visits to our HQ premises (OE House, Wakefield, UK), our German office (Gummersbach) and our London showroom in Clerkenwell. Our Account Managers have continued to work remotely to support your enquiries and business needs. As businesses of all types have started to re-open gradually, based on the various countries’ governments’ guidance, we are seeing an increasing requirement and increasing requests for face to face meetings in these premises and also at customer premises. We are well-equipped to support these meetings, with the processes and equipment in place in all our premises, to support safe and productive meetings, where needed.

The situation surrounding COVID-19 is always evolving. OE is committed to following government advice and guidelines. As a flexible and innovative company, we are well equipped and organised to cope with the ever-changing environment and know that if we all work together we will come through this unprecedented crisis stronger, and working together with you, we hope to support you and your customers, to do the same.
